My Mission: Healing the Root, Not Just the Symptoms

Many people spend years trying to "think" their way out of pain, only to find that their body and emotions haven't caught up with their logic. I am deeply passionate about this work because I believe that true healing happens when we address the root causes of our distress rather than just managing the symptoms.

As the Site Director of our Gold River office, my mission is to create a sanctuary where you feel seen, safe, and truly understood. I don't just see myself as a therapist, but as a dedicated partner in your journey. There is nothing more profound than watching a client move from the heavy "fog" of trauma into a life characterized by clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of self.

Is This You? (Who I Help)

I specialize in working with individuals who feel like they are "white-knuckling" their way through life.
On the surface, you may appear to have it all together, but internally, you might be struggling with:

  • The Weight of the Past: Feeling like old memories or "baggage" are still hijacking your present-day reactions.

  • Persistent Disconnection: A sense of being "numb" or disconnected from your emotions, your body, or the people you love most.

  • The Cycle of Overwhelm: Struggling with anxiety, difficulty concentrating, or a nervous system that always feels like it’s on "high alert."

Whether you are navigating the aftermath of a specific traumatic event or a general feeling of being "stuck" in life, I am here to help you find your way back to yourself.

A Collaborative Path Forward (What We’ll Do)

Our work together is not about "fixing" you—because you aren't broken. Instead, we use evidence-based tools to help your system return to a state of balance. My approach is an integration of:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): This is a specialized, "bottom-up" therapy that helps your brain and body finally "digest" traumatic experiences. By doing this, we take the emotional "sting" out of the past so it no longer feels disruptive today.

  • Attachment-Based Therapy: We explore the blueprint of your relationships. By understanding how you were taught to give and receive love, we can build healthier, more secure patterns in your current life.

  • Mindfulness & Somatic Awareness: I provide practical, "in-the-moment" tools to help you ground yourself when life feels chaotic, helping you feel more "at home" in your own skin.

I provide a consistent, supportive presence for my clients Monday through Friday.
